Why have I never watched Jonas Mekas's Film? Walden (Diaries, Notes and Sketches) (1968-69) is an amazing film. Or should I call it an amazing visual diary? In his lecture, he told his students a lot about the places. About New York and moving to Lithuania. Why he didn’t mention people? I don’t see it as a diary within the place but as surrounded by people. Some of them are as background, and some of them are as a place itself. And Some of them are the event.
